There was another drag event shut down in Columbus, OH this weekend due to safety concerns amid armed protests.

Why are people so fucking uptight about other peoples sexuality?  Why should they care? Maybe it's like some have suggested, that homophobic people are afraid of their own latent non-heterosexuality.  Now that kind of thinking, to me, is queer.

It will be interesting to see if it gets traced back to the Proud Boys. It's just been one attack on gays after the other after the CO shooting.

I think it's in part because certain professional internet trolls (like Tulski Gabbard) devote their time to vilifying and convincing people that all kids are in danger. After all, what's more "woke" than a drag show?

What is nuts and this was tried out before but failed.

You had people come up and shoot at electrical equipment to shut down power and water for 45,000 people.  Imagine what something a little more organized could do?  They could tear up our infrastructure in a heartbeat.

My question is who and why?  It's not about a drag show.  

If it's domestic terrorists then we are in trouble on the short front, over time they will be weeded out.

You could be right...but these people are the LCD of murikka. If they can take the long road to shutting down a drag show they will do it. And the bonus is they get to shoot their guns and dress like real soldiers.

You could be right...but these people are the LCD of murikka. If they can take the long road to shutting down a drag show they will do it. And the bonus is they get to shoot their guns and dress like real soldiers.

I'm still not leaning that way.  

It has been discussed about our infrastructure like the grid being attacked very easily and it has been before but nothing was taken out.  This time it was successful.

You don't do this much damage over such a large area for one drag show.  If it was though then the people that did it probably weren't thinking this much damage would happen.

I am really interested on what the FBI finds out, it may get Homeland Security involved?

Buddy of mine brought up something very interesting.  It's conspiracy theory of course but interesting.

If you want to steal power from a big source like this you need to cut down the power.  Imagine if this was an elaborate plot to redirect power from the grid.

Something crazy like a bunker or mining bit coins.

I thought it was an interesting plot but I don't buy it but hey, truth is stranger than fiction sometimes.

“The power is out in Moore County and I know why,” Emily Rainey wrote on her Facebook page less than an hour after the electricity failed. Fields has said a suspect or suspects drove up to two Duke Energy power substations after breaching a gate in one station, and opened fire, disabling them and resulting in a blackout that could last through Thursday.

Rainey, a former U.S. Army psychological operations officer, who left the military while under investigation for leading a group of people from North Carolina to the Capitol on Jan 6, 2021, has been a vocal opponent of drag shows in the state. 

In a follow-up post, along with a photograph of the Sunrise Theater, she wrote: “God will not be mocked.”

Rainey did not respond to a request for comment.

Her post has been shared on Facebook more than 200 times and generated nearly 2,000 comments since it was made. Screenshots of it also circulated on Twitter, where they generated outrage and fueled the theory that the drag show — which Rainey, a day before, had called on people to protest — and the power outage were connected.

“I 100% believe that this was motivated by anti LGBTQ animus,” said Charlotte Clymer, an LGBTQ activist who shared Rainey’s initial post on Twitter and eventually wrote a blog post about it and the outage. Clymer said she very quickly “put together the dots.”

Will be interesting if this was the reasoning but news said earlier today that these were looked into and not the motive.

That Beax video brought up a big deal too.  Dropping temperatures and people without power, if they die from this then that is murder.

Yeah there could be some really tragic stories from this.

I'm sure more will come out about this.  More areas have been targeted.  This has been going on for years but finally people hit the big time and knocked out power for thousands.
