Call that the toddler effect.  She’s heard her dad listening to music a lot and her ears picked up on two Stones songs and a Chuck Berry one and we toddler’d the fuck out of them. Lol.  No real surprises there, except for Bowie, who made the list because we did one of his records for the podcast.  Always love the year end stats!

I don't do any streaming, but here are my "stats" based entirely on my best recollection of what CDs I've listened to the most.

I'm certain my most listened-to album of 2022 is Wilco's Cruel Country. Number 2 is Josh Rouse's Going Places. Number 3 is Taylor Swift's MidnightsGigaton, which was definitely number 1 for 2020 and near the top for 2021, is probably somewhere in the top five or ten.

EDIT: My best recollection is not so great. Arcade Fire's WE and Superchunk's Wild Loneliness are probably number 2 and number 3.

The stat I would like to see is how many hours we each spend on this forum.   ;)

Decided to branch out a little this year after wearing out Gigaton for 2 years straight, yet still managed to keep EV in my second spot. A bit surprised Black Pistol Fire didn't make my top 5 (wife has a Gaga running playlist), but seems about right for my year given Jack White putting two albums out and catching him on tour a few times.

  • I need to branch out more  =) but I had a hard year health wise and looks like Inside Job became my anthem.
