I think its possible everyone involved sucks.

I'm not sure what Ed is doing wrong. Typically, insisting on an outsized share or just paying the other guys salaries is a rock star dick move. In this case I see a singer watching the rest of the band get caught up in harebrained financial schemes and bringing lawsuits and bickering to the table. But he needs them (or their blessing) to tour as Live. Guy just wants to write and play music. Sounds like it sucks.
IDK, if he just said the second thing I’d agree with you, but the first thing is weird. But for the most part you are right, he’s the least sucky. Not commenting is an indication of that.

“The response from Kowalczyk chilled him: “Bill Hynes is innocent until proven guilty.… Direct any communications for me to [my lawyer] from this point forward.”

I think the paragraph before it is important. Taylor emails him and is trying to drag him into all this nonsense. I see Ed's response as doing everything possible to not get mixed up with these litigious assholes. Sterile legalese.

I guess it's safe to say Taylor and Gracey won't be hangin' Chads any time soon.

    Crazy story.
    This weekend we rock Portland

I wonder how common a lot of these problems are but we're just not used to having two band members eager to give you every agonizing detail

Someone just asked Ed on Instagram if Dahlheimer and Gracey will ever be coming back.

    "Nope"
