Nice, I snagged one. I like this album, I'm a sucker for 90's music so it works for me. Craft Recordings is good, just waiting on them to finally release the third Filter album "The Amalgamut". They did a great job with "Title of Record". If you hear anything, let us know!!

Saw them on an early club tour for this and they were fantastic. Big Wreck opened. They were in arenas before long and things went south fast.

I totally agree, when I first heard it I thought of Eddie Vedder and that he’s been smoking too many cigs.

Yeah I can remember them being bigger in the oughts but I do remember when they first came out and people telling me that Stap and vedder were brothers.  I said No they are not.  All I did was read music mags and articles back then so i would have picked that up somewhere.
  • Should I go see Scott Stapp at a small place here in Gothenburg for 40 bucks?

    Yes/No ?

    Seems he still can sing.

I saw Creed play one song (My Own Prison) at Edgefest '98 in Barrie, ON because the lineup to get in was so long.  They were alright :)

I actually saw them for their local release party for this album. Small club in Tallahassee, FL called Floyds Music Store. Shortly after, this album blew up and as you said, they moved to arenas.

  • they played the side stage at Edgefest before they were huge. the big shot dj on the radio station promoting the event went OFF on how awful scott stapp was with his "eddie vedder impersonation" the day after the show. it was funny as hell.

stapp was literally wearing a ratty flannel shirt, doc martens, holding the mic exactly as ed does, and swaying back and forth the way ed did in the early 90's. It was so bad it was laughable.

Only time I saw them was in Wellington Town Hall touring this album in 99-2000 people or so. They played Higher and Young Grow Old too. Great gig. Their songs were always fun to play on guitar too. Now Alter Bridge? A significant step up in difficulty. Would like to hear some b-sides if they had any kicking about.

I don't know if I do. Have never listened to the band really... other than ironically or because their videos showed up on MTV.

But just now bought at ticket to his concert here in the spring. 40 bucks.
