Another Reason The Toronto 09/08/2022 Poster is Great
Aside from the Art on the front of the Toronto 09/08/2022 Poster, which I love, the real reason this is a great poster is the message the artist Justin Erickson was conveying with that art as noted on the back of the poster.
Think of all the crap that has been and still is going on lately: Covid-19, Lockdowns, Inflation, Political Turmoil, War, Famine, Wild Fires, Massive Storms and on and on and on. It just feels like a absolute miserable time in the world right now. So Justin's message to Resist and Persist, to keep your candle shining bright, when all the pressure would seek to snuff it out is a beautiful and inspiring message indeed and the art he chose to express that message is equally beautiful. Well done Justin!
So even though an Underwater scene may have nothing to do with Toronto it's not exactly the first time a poster may have had nothing to do with the town the band is playing in - remember Toronto Bluto anyone?
I will agree that I do like it when the artist incorporates something to do with the city or country I am seeing the band play in ...but... I also appreciate just an overall beautiful print and if it includes an inspirational message for the print that helps to keep me going through these tough times the same way that Pearl Jam's music does - even better.
Anyway art is subjective and we all have our reasons for why we like the posters we do I just thought i would share the other reason why I really like this print. It is a top five of this year's tour prints for me. Feel free to share which posters you like this year and why you like them...why are they special to you?

For those that are interested I put some pictures on Given To Fly Fan Views of the Toronto show. I don’t post much so when I do it always seems to be at the end of the conversation. Anyway hope you like them if you check them out.
