    nice looking turret board Greg.

As the Beastie Boys might say... takes a second to wreck it takes time to build...

    What speakers go with it?
My Girlfriend said to me..."How many guitars do you need?" and I replied...."How many pairs of shoes do you need?" She got really quiet.

it's just another chassis so it's going into the white cab with the silver bell.

it'll still be all marshall all the time, just with all the tweaks and tricks i picked up last time. it's still a TMB channel and a normal channel.

most of the coupling cap values are different, the bass EQ is changed, the normal channel has a bright cap etc.

plus the upgraded components and the fact i'll do it right the first time this time.

We all should qoute the Beastie Boys in at least one response a day.

bah. both input jacks on the TMB channel were bad. cutting out. had to replace them with cannibalized parts from the old one.

also, slightly bad volume pot on the normal channel.

so i have a couple things left to do. but those are component problems, not build problems. i now have to source some higher quality jacks.

sound clips in a bit. she's loud. stupid amounts of gain on the TMB channel.
  • Man, you do a great job, Exhausted. That's a great amp.
I just got the 150 dollar Crate version yesterday and I'm probably going to screw around with that, then get the 18 watt kit and go for it.

I was just A/B ing the Crate against my Deluxe Reverb to see how they line up.

The A/B used was the handmade Exhausted Switcher
I was thinking how I could use that effect loop to make a feedback looper, too.

    god it's finally done.

i had this thing open on my bench for ages and almost went crazy.

i've ended up with a sort of british tweed channel and the plexi-ish gainy channel. it's nice. i wish i had the hands to make it sing.
  • Looks fantastic...... Um where's the clips!

Painting the house, that sounds like a normal vacation. "Insert update" to house

normal channel with tele and strat. volume and tone at 5 with the guitar volume and pickup choices doing the rest. going through the fender reverb too.

lots of mods to this channel with the most noteworthy being the tweed-style tone control. i think it's tons more open and dynamic than my first build.

plexi channel clips to come maybe tomorrow.
