Why did you put Hater for Matt? I think none of these, you don’t really think it’s one of them, do you? 😄  Maybe Rufus Taylor but the similarities may freak the band out too much

    to be ironic.

no, I don't think it will be any of them. I honestly just thought it was interesting that Chris had mentioned "the next foo fighters record" and thought it would be fun.

In that case I’ll pick Lars!
I can see Dave playing drums for the studio record and them getting a touring drummer

  • What does Josh Freese have on his calendar? And why the hell isn't he on this list?

  • My prediction is that Dave will do all drum tracks for any new FF material and they will just tour with a touring member on the drum kit.

That's my thinking as well if they decide to keep moving forward.

I would expect maybe they go with someone that isn't in another band so they don't have to worry about touring conflicts?

I feel like Freese enjoys being a free agent / hired gun and doesn't want to be tied down to any one act for too long. Although a 1-2 year run w/ the Foo Fighters wouldn't be out of character for him either.

I just found out in the last year that he auditioned w/ PJ back in the day (maybe between DA & JI?). I wasn't all that surprised either, all things considered.

The guy's a f'ing machine and was the best part of seeing A Perfect Circle in the early years.

that's verbatim what I did the first time I tried to do the poll, but it didn't save and I had to do it a second time. I put in Danny Carey the second go around.

I wish Taylor's son was older and could fill his dad's seat. But I'm going with Rufus Taylor as my official guess.

  • Dave A. If he’s the best PJ drummer ever, why not.

plus then he can move on. Everybody wins

Every time Dave turns around he‘d see the spitting image of his dead friend. I imagine that might be tough
  • Rufus is Roger's son, not Taylor's. Nothing to worry about.

Apologies-my exasperation at Freese's omission was meant in jest.

I didn't see Peter Criss as an option.

  • Brad Wilk (Rage)
I think it could be Brad...let's face it, Rage is not making any new music.  Zach is pretty adamant about that from what I understand.  He would be a good fit.

I have already been their number one fan, right as The One started playing on MTV and untill it went out of the rotation.
"Mostly I think that people react sensitively because they know you’ve got a point"
  • I personally think it should be Julian Dorio. Julian is the drummer for the Athens rock band, The Whigs, and currently drums for multiple artists, including The Lone Below, Amanda Shires, and many others. He was the drummer for the Eagles of Death Metal when the horror in Paris took place.

I would way more rather see Josh get back together with these guys:

Pat still plays drums for Weezer in the studio doesnt he? And Josh plays live when he has the time? Seems logical for Dave to record everything from now on if they want to go on.
