30 months
On 09/11 it'll be 30 months since we were originally suppose to see Pearl Jam back in 2020. When I quantify it in that way it's really eye opening. I think about all that went on during that time. I remember really needing to see that show and being crushed when it were cancelled. My wife was pregnant with our daughter, my job was throwing me for a loop, pressures of life seemed to mount... I just really needed that escape for a few hours...
Fast forward 30 months later and here we are.... My first show in 2000 and 22 years later I am still as excited as I was back then.
The build up to it all, seeing familiar faces prior to the show on the merch line, at a bar or inside the venue. It's all encompassing.
I needed their music back then and I still need their music now.
I never met any of the guys before but as I'm sure many of us would want to say to them..... Thank you... If they only knew what their music did for me when I first heard them in 1995 to what their concerts have meant to me since 2000.
