Awesome PJ Finds at the Record Store Today

Hadn't been to my record store in months, so I decided to drop by today and see if they had anything good.
Started in the used CD section and found two 2000 boots: West Palm Beach and Manchester. It's always fun finding old 2000 official boots at stores. They cost me $5 apiece.
Then headed over to the vinyl, just in case. Looked under Pearl Jam and there was nothing aside from a Ten European re-issue. Was about to check out when something caught my eye in the Soundtracks section. It was none other than Into the Wild on vinyl!
I already own a copy, but what the hell, for $30 I wasn't going to let it sit there.
Quite a nice day today. Now I'm hoping my mystery poster arrives, because today seems to be my lucky day.

LMAO you don't like man-boobs?
world fucking champs!!!
Fuck Best Buy, Wal-Mart, Target, and all the other "big" music stores. The only music stores that are worth going to are independent stores. I go to Rhino Records all the time, and Rasputin and Amoeba are both pretty good.
I've learned over the years that if a music store doesn't have a used section or doesn't sell vinyl, it's not worth visiting.

For other things yes, but not to look at!

Very tempting though...what do you all think?

All of the good record stores have gone under in L.A. Aaron's, as well as Rhino Records, seem to have been put out of business by Amoeba. Tower records on Sunset was a great place. I used to live up the hill from there, so if I ever wanted to clear my head, I could just go there and browse.
Rhino Records in Claremont is still alive and kicking. Great little record store, and they host quite a bit of in-store gigs as well.
You're right though, seems like a ton of indie music stores have gone under recently. :(

The little record shop next to the Glasshouse had some cool stuff when I went there.
I agree with you; I used to visit a used record store where I grew up and there was actually a clerk there like the Jack Black character in High Fidelity who would criticize my taste in music. I was a funny-looking kid with purple hair; I didn't know what to make of him; he shaped my musical inclinations for years to come.
Last time I went into Best Buy I'd never heard of their "Artist of the Week" or whatever...
But that's really cool about the two boots you found. Anytime I see a used 2000 boot in a store they usually have at least a $20 pricetag. Which is still way better than what some of these fuckers on ebay and amazon are asking. Either way...for $5 each you did quite well
