In chatting with my neighbor, he tells me this gem.
He was at Georgia Tech hanging with the sound/music engineering students. They were pretty disappointed in not getting night 1 tickets. They had night 2 tickets but they got asked to do the broadcast. They got the feed sent from soundboard to the transmitter in a dorm basement which was then broadcast to FM radio.
They were supposed to cut the broadcast after the main set. You can hear Eddie talk about this in the encore. (Also the ping pong table game/noise).
They kept it going because it was too good of a show and they had no idea how long it would go on. Main reason though was that they wouldn’t have been able to hear it otherwise.
i have the cd stashed away somewhere. Got it from a Cleveland radio station and its the full raw version. Time to dig it out!

Thanks for sharing! That show is probably the most bootlegged of Pearl Jam's career and to find out that it should have been cut early is incredible.
