the results of my acoustic guitar surgery

the split back is getting reglued. the wood didn't split, just the seam. not a big deal apparently.

the frets are getting deburred.

a chip in the back is getting filled.

and the tech's still trying to figure out what the deal is with the baggs PUP losing high frequency.

    Just ditch the pickup. that guitar dosen't need it. Condenser mic's are so cheap now anyway.
    My Girlfriend said to me..."How many guitars do you need?" and I replied...."How many pairs of shoes do you need?" She got really quiet.

    condenser mics don't help in live performance. i stand when playing and wander around a lot.

    i record with an apex condenser mic already.

    ah. well. I would tend to think it has something to do with a bad capacitor in the microphone somewhere.

    i'll have to see if i can dig up the bill of sale and get it replaced under warranty. highly doubt i'll find it though.

    Just call Baggs up and tell them you'll bad-mouth them all over the web if they don't fix it... Those guys like their good reputation...

    the tech has apparently done that already. :)

    i have one in my taylor that has been fantastic to this point.

    i found the bill. it was installed in 2001. not 98 or 99 like i thought (and told the tech). i'm such an idiot.

    oh well. at least i'm in the warranty window.
