TOTD 2016 tour bootlegs

Is there any belief that the 2016 Temple Of The Dog tour bootlegs will be released?  They have to have been recorded right?  I’ve seen shows on YouTube and all but would love a soundboard quality boot.  I can’t be alone on this I’m sure.

You're not alone. I think that we all want to see these. I'm sure that these were recorded and belong to the estate. I hope that I'm wrong, but between Vicki and Xana, I believe that there are too many obstacles in the way to these seeing the light of day.

Maybe some day. I was at MSG and they had signs up about filming. So, in addition to audio, there is definitely video footage. But, yeah, the estate stuff. Eventually, maybe it’ll come out. Maybe if the final Soundgarden tracks get settled they can move on to TOTD. 🤞

There are a couple soundboard recordings —of the songs “Reach Down” and “Stargazer” — from the TOTD show at The Paramount in Seattle from 2016 on the Chris Cornell Super Deluxe box set. So, there are definitely recording out there. These definitely need to be released at some point. I still feel BLESSED to have seen the show at MSG.

I hope so.   It's does seem like they're could be cooperation struggles between the estate and the band, that could make it challenging to release.

I hope so.  I felt pretty lucky to see the first Seattle show.  I think the two songs on the boxset are from that show.. always hoping for more :)

The fan base that adores this music is getting older, so let’s not wait too long!

Oh me too. We were at both Seattle shows. They were both incredible.

Would LOVE if they would release these memorable 2016 shows on CD / digital download.

Stargazer was from night 1 in seattle - https://youtu.be/8CiF-WU7704

Reach Down is actually a combo from both nights in seattle.  Good job of mixing it.  You can see what parts came from which night in this video (just pay attention to clothes and the difference in camera angle) If you’ve heard the full versions from each night, it’s obvious why they mixed it this way - https://youtu.be/W9bKqsL3MC0

Yeah, we know they were all recorded (and filmed I guess), but at this point I'd guess we're not gonna see any more of it. Even PJ, as a more active machine, is pretty terrible about getting out back catalog stuff (PJ20, Wrigley, etc...) At least we have audience recordings of pretty much every show

Has the Cornell estate given back the previously in progress Soundgarden album?

I don’t think we’re going to see TOTD until a few more of them bite the dust.

It’s true though. I’m 45 and can’t say for sure how long loud music will appeal to my ears. Like other vices of youth that I loved(alcohol/weed/cigarettes/women) will music fade away at some point? Will I just want a quiet view at sunset and music once in awhile? Can’t say for sure. So release them now please…

I feel like I've come to the conclusion that the music you like is very influential when your young, and you tend to like that music for the rest of your life.    I think what we think of old people like quieter music because that was the music of their youth.

In regards to Cornell's estate being an issue, it probably is.  It doesn't seem like it's easy to work with the estate to get things done.

It probably is the estate. Totally sucks they can't get along together.
