Don't you already have one? Beside if anyone should it should be me since mines is right-handed.

wow. Tough call. Depends on your solvancy. Great price. Fantastic Price. Fantastic guitar, (but how much do you play the LP Custom? to be devils advocate) Keep in mind the SG is lighter you might play it more and the tone is brighter so you might be able to fit it in but 800 bucks is still a lot of money even though it is a good deal. You probably won't see one again though.
My Girlfriend said to me..."How many guitars do you need?" and I replied...."How many pairs of shoes do you need?" She got really quiet.

Its coming slowly simply because I don't have the interest I once did. But I haven't totally given up.

It's fine, that's a TKL case. at that price the guy has probably been gigging and needed the larger space to put stuff in the case. It's a fine case, I'd still rather have the original too. My guess is the guy bought it at a store like Guitar Center which sells new guitars without cases. That TKL was about 70 or 80 bucks If I remember correctly. I used to hook people up on those for like 60 I think.

i'll just have to see. i'm PA'ed for about 40 hours more OT this month. that's about $1600 right there.

it's a good opportunity. i emailed to get a shipping cost so we'll see how the guy is.
  • Looks amazing.

may I ask whats the difference between this and an SG special. I noticed the cutaways aren't symetrical on this SG.

It retails for 2G and an SG special closer to 1G so whats up with that.

as we discussed before, materials, components, craftsmanship all translate to cost differences. standards are higher in the model line than jrs and specials.

and i believe all SGs are asymentrical.
  • I see. I just didn't see it say SG standard anywhere.

Wow I'm gonna check some pics out cause I thought they were symetrical.

SG standard. P/U covers, binding I believe the pickguard on the SG Standard is 3 ply with a white layer in the middle.

Trapizoid inlay on the fretboard instead of dots, a little better cut of Mahogany etc.

    It's symmetrical it's just backwards :)
