I am still stuck on dial-up Internet. It takes me an hour to download one song. (MP3)

I still have a soft spot for this format even though it's terrible for live concerts because each disc has a time limit. (CD)

I am all in on non fungible tokens of shows, but I am a bit leery of extra bit depth. (FLAC, ALAC)

I don't need anything more than an mp3.

Same here. Unless an mp3 has a bitrate of lower than 192kbps, I don’t notice any loss of sound quality. I know there IS a loss of sound quality, but I don’t notice it while listening.

I generally get the Flac and then burn them to disc.  I don't like sitting at a computer an listening to music. I should probably figure out a means of setting up all my digital files to be playable through my stereo, but i am lazy.

Nothing like FLAC HD to my ears.

I also didn’t buy a PONO. Playback through iTunes.

My answer lies somewhere among the first three choices.

I like to have the CD if I was at the show. Otherwise I download ALAC when possible. If only FLAC is available I'll usually convert it to ALAC once downloaded just for file type continuity.

I have my iPod set to sync at 192 kbps AAC. The iTunes files stay in their original format and bitrate, but the files on the iPod are compressed to save disk space. Since I listen to this in my car - and car, road, & traffic noise all factor in - the sound quality doesn't need to be superior.

Admittedly, my ears are too damaged & equipment inferior to really justify anything more than a 256/320kbps mp3.  I do like having the lossless files on hand, though, because I can always burn a CD if my iPod gets corrupted or dies.

CDs 'til I die.  Having to switch discs does not rise to the bar of "terrible" for me.  How often am I ever listening for two-and-a-half-hours straight anyway?  The end of a disc is usually a pretty good stopping point.

It's interesting to me that they are still mastering for CD and then creating the other digital formats from that because the fade outs when the CD is about to hit its limit are still present in the FLAC versions (and I assume in the MP3 and ALAC versions). This poll is proof that plenty of people still prefer CDs, so I guess it makes sense to do it that way.

    CD sales are doing good.

I still buy CD's. Only digital format I buy though is 24 Bit Flac-HD's.

Not really talking about general CD sales, just CDs as a preferred format for live concerts.
