i'm going with the fishman active resophonic:

and a gibson mini-humbucker (neck model):

two fully independent signal paths and the mini will have volume and tone control.

i have no idea when the stuff will arrive so i have no idea when the thing will be up and cooking. but i'm going to get everything installed and get the guitar properly set up left-handed all at once. should be fun.

  • Gonna use a single TRS jack, or dual 1/4" jacks?

dual jacks. the fishman has it's own preamp mounted in it's endpin pack.
  • Cool cool...

Sounds like you'll have the ultimate Nashville session resonator. Now you'll need a Twin Custom 15 to play it through:

i'm sure i'll be able to cook something up in my pod that will sound good with it.

got the fishman in tonight. wasn't too hard. i'm having an issue with it though. since it's mounted right at the center of the cone, the D and G are quite loud and immediate compared to the other four strings. i have to do some digging on that one.

good news is i found the wiring diagram to add a volume pot to it so i'll be doing that at some point.

and now the mini-humbucker is here. i need to get the route done professionally, along with a new nut and bridge for the left-handed conversion but i have all the wiring in now.

sweet. I've been shopping reso kits from stewmac, I think I could build one, but it's probably cheaper to buy one from regal and cut it up.

yours looks cool, what P/U's did you go with?
My Girlfriend said to me..."How many guitars do you need?" and I replied...."How many pairs of shoes do you need?" She got really quiet.

the ones in the first post. the fishman and the gibson. i think the fishman sounds like shit but i also don't think i have it set up quite right yet.

in retrospect, i should have just got an eastwood delta 6 and upgraded the pickups.

a fralin upgrade would run you 75 bucks, what are the SD's going for?

    i think $90 for a stacked version.

i may buy this thing anyway.

not right now but later if the epi project doesn't work out. i don't think i'd get the throaty hollow sound from the eastwood that i'm hoping i get with the biscuit.
