I saw The Alive in Atlanta last year. For their age they were amazing. They played at Shaky Knees and they did a gig opening up for the Hives. So crazy to see that kid drum for PJ

Also if anyone on here was in section 101 when a guy randomly came and mopped several rows while Mike was melting faces during Evenflow... No one around us knew what was going on and it was maybe one of the funniest things I’ve experienced during a concert

Throw Your Hatred Down had a ton of energy and I dug it. Honestly, Quick Escape (which I was super looking forward to) seemed kind of muddled, maybe a result of no Matt. WMA on the other hand was absolutely amazing with that back and forth between Josh and Richard. I had to leave not long after, so it was the highlight for me. Can’t wait to hear the rest of the show on the boot when it comes out.

Off topic, but doubt he actually needs to test negative to return.  Common to continue to test positive for a while after recovering.  Prob some min isolation (5 days?) and be symptom free and then back.

The timing of this makes me wonder... I had the inpression Ed was pissed because of something he saw, or *thought he saw* in the audience... he did say "I was angry because I thought something, but I was mistaken". I was hoping someone else saw what went down.

Hmmm I guess the timing does make sense. Whatever happened Ed got fucking pissed. In the middle of Low Light of all songs... no one In the rows he mopped knew what was going on though so it made for some laughs. I think the worker had the wrong area maybe. Who knows

Best sounding long road I’ve seen in person. Smile is always a highlight for me. Bee girl…never needed to hear it but happy I got to. Definitely worth the trip.
This show, another show, a show here and a show there.

Purely speculation but if I had to guess, the stress of waiting two years to tour, then having the drummer out with COVID after four shows, and having to split up the set between two drummers who aren’t prepared/haven’t really rehearsed these songs with the band (at least not on drums, in Josh’s case) is probably weighing pretty heavily on these dudes. As much as it’s novel and fun for the fans, it’s probably pretty frustrating to have the fill-in drummers be unfamiliar with tempos/arrangements.

I felt like night 1 has this more loose/happy vibe to it because of the last minute change and challenge.   Even though the set was pretty straightforward it was an amazing show and they made it look like subbing a dummer last second is easy to do.

Last night looked tougher with the different setlist from the band, but it was amazing they pulled it off.  We were talking between shows of how they'd approach that.  Do they repeat night 1 given those were mostly the more popular straightforward songs the drummers are most familiar with.. or do they find a way to mix up.   They took the tougher route for sure and I appreciate it.

My only real disappointment is I saw so little of Gigaton on the Gigaton tour.   Hopefully it comes to Seattle/Vancouver next year and I can catch a few more tunes.   That being said they did play 3/4 of the tunes I really wanted to hear from the album.    Would love to hear dance of the clairvoyants live... but that's a tough one to pass off with replacement drummers :(

I posted this in the set list thread. I was 10 back from stage, directly in front EV. Ed apologized for his angry outburst and said it was on him and he was upset with himself. I am paraphrasing but I got the impression he felt like he fucked up. He then mentioned that there are a lot of people with real problems to worry about and that he needs to remind himself of that sometimes. There was plenty of joy coming out of the man the rest of the night but I think he may have been frustrated with a number of things, some of which may not have anything to do with a rock concert.
