New openers every night?

Anyone know the record for most shows in a row without repeating the same opening song?  I think 2008 had a little run. *** (checked...not anywhere near this long) *** Not sure if RITFW (maybe the most shocking opener yet) was planned before Matt's departure, but the streak is now at 11 *** 15 *** (going back to the last two 2018 shows).  What will they open with tonight???  I probably cursed the streak with this thread.

Yup, I'll be sure to keep checking.  Perhaps River Cross (Ed debuted that one at Ohana 2017 as an opener) or Comes Than Goes???

In the Spring of 2008 on the Magic Tour, Springsteen opened 19 shows in a row with a different song. I believe Ed saw Seattle and perhaps Vancouver during that run. Seattle opened with Trapped, still to this day the only time that’s ever happened.

Maybe a Crazy Mary opener?  Hasn't really been a signature Boom song played yet.  And they did it a couple times before back in '03

I love the unpredictability of these shows so far. I know sets are a little shorter and some staples are being played a lot but it’s pretty cool how much they are rearranging the sets. A new opener every show is awesome.

RVM open with Matt Cameron back on drums would be pretty epic in Vegas.

As would anything from Avocado or Riot Act.

I have a feeling that Vegas is going to be Gigaton heavy with MC back behind the kit. I think they open with Dance of the Clairvoyants but am personally hoping for either Hard to Imagine or Corduroy.

Wasn’t there but have heard the boot. Incredible. Crowd’s energy was off the charts from what I could hear. I’ve always thought Severed Hand was a cool opener. Especially with the “laser” sounds beforehand.

Agreed. I haven’t seen SH as an opener (or at all for that matter) but it sounds so cool on the boots (esp Chicago 2).

First show I ever went to (Boston 2 in ‘06) the pre-walk-on music was Master/Slave and then opened with Severed Hand. Master went into the “laser” from SH. And of course Ed did Porch as a pre-opener.
