Anyone else excited about this possibility? A great opportunity to do something different.

This was my hope in case they lost any band member for a show (other than EV), but if they didn't last night, I don't think they will tonight.  Would love it!

This is actually a pretty good idea. I mean, maybe some people would hate it. But they could at least do a nice acoustic set. 8-10 songs. When Jack played with them for the first time at Bridge School he kept his percussion playing pretty simple. They could do something like that to.
words seem so out of place.

I feel like it could be a great opportunity to just think outside of the box and do some bonkers stuff to the songs, as well.

Could definitely work in an acoustic mini-set but doing a full on acoustic gig in an arena is probably not going to be the move.

I love the optimism.  They have one day to train a new drummer and get comfortable together, and then are going to add practicing songs for an acoustic set on top of it.

It would be cool but I am guessing they are working on just getting through the next two shows and putting up a good product versus trying to do something completely different from what they prepared for.

Would be cool for us die hards, but for the more causal would resonate as much.

80% of the arena would hate it. the rest of us would think it's the best show ever. what heartofadog said would I think be the sweet spot.

It would be really special if they did it, but I know chances are slim to none at this point. Can only hope for a small portion of the show.
