Wondering if we can get a stream going on stories of fans with their 1st PJ Show. Today, will be my daughters 1st show. Already - been super fun! Merch line, security guards, fans in hotel lobbies... all of it! Post away...

3-10-94. Chicago Stadium. Jeffs bday,  first show where the lead was also a story teller.  Ed went out of his way to talk about growing up in Chicagoland.  He proved it by singing the "Emlire Carpet Jingle"  a local carpet place that had commercials singing their phone number. 588-23 hundred,  Empirrrre.  That connection he made with us almost empowered us, validated us,  made is friends.  Never looked back and it was all Pearl Jam after that.

What a fantastic post!  I am from Chicago and unfortunately I missed the show because I was away at college

I was a late bloomer. Tried in 98 to get tickets using the pay phones with buddies in my high school. Got shut out of course. A few weeks later on my older sister hands my a birthday card. Inside are two tickets for Molson park in Barrie Ontario. A big open field. Cheap trick opens. Remember one older gentleman being super excited pumping his fist singing along to each song. Rest of the crowed was polite but you could tell everyone was just dying for pearl jam to get on stage. I make my way down about 12 rows back from the stage. Pearl jam comes on and crowed goes ballistic. Proceeds to play corduroy, brain of j, hail hail, animal, and dissident. I spent each getting mashed, slammed, dodging crowed surfers limbs and loving every minute. Haven't had another pj concert experience like that one since. But it definitely turned me into a life long fan. Wish I would've bought a poster or 6 lol.

Dark Matters will mark the 1st time that my whole family will be at a show! Looking forward to the Marquee picture with all of us in attendance. Following the band from Vancouver, to Portland, then to Seattle!
