How is the Pluralone set?

For those who have made it to the first round of shows, what is the impression of the Josh set?  I know some PJ guest spots and the occasional Eddie open is cool, but how is the set musically?  I have seen some of the stream clips but can’t really judge how it sounds live.  Thanks.

His first one in San Diego (totally solo) was a bit rough.  Then when he had a little help from some friends and did Alice In Chain's Nutshell the second night it was much improved.  That continued into the third night, again with a nice cover of Bruce Springsteen's My Hometown.

I would catch it just for the chance to see Buttercup. He did three covers (?) last night, Meat Puppets Backwater was well done I thought. His three originals sounded musically close to their recorded versions to my ears. I think his voice is probably divisive, but he is very emotive in his original performances.
