How does ticket transfer work through TM?

Hi
I’d like to get tix for one of the shows without Fan 2 Fan (Denver). How does the transfer option work through TM? How do you prevent someone from ripping you off? Obviously I’m not going to send someone $$ without knowing they actually have tickets to sell so does TM have a payment system that scammers can’t get around?

    There's no payment system. The only real way to safely transfer with somebody you don't know is to watch them do it. 
    2006: Hartford

    Probably not. F2F is face value only which is against the law in NY and Colorado. Safest way to do it is probably buy through stubhub or seatgeek so you know you'll either get the tickets or get your money back
