what's a good price used, paco?

i'm thinking $650-700 for a clean one since they're out of production.

Yeah, out the door brand new mine was including tax $904

650-700 should be fair used for a clean one

cool. i found one a couple hours away so shipping, if i can't just drive out, won't be too bad. it's dead mint too.

i guess i'll know in 6.5 days. it's a 12" too same as i test drove last year.

last one showing up on fleabay went for $675 on a BIN.

good deal. I think it's the right amount of wattage. I really want to see what it can do with a closed back cabinet, eventually I'll have a wee fender to pair it with and some lovely little 4x10 or 2x12 closed cab to make it a little more forceful.

The EGDM should come with the amp.

i know it'll be a good addition to the palette for me. it's that darker/dirtier thing. the one i played was so chunky. the wattage is perfect especially when there's a master volume involved.

personally, i like open backs. i like the slight airiness. closed is just too punchy for me.

in a perfect world, i think i'd collect sub-25 watt, 1x12" open backed combos of every flavour.

if i win, i'll just have to decide what to get rid of.

yeah, the savage macht 6 with tremolo is really cool too.

Lately I've been wondering what adding a rivera subwoofer below my amp would sound like, Imagine the possibilities with an octron...

Would you think less of me if I sold my DL4 and DD and bought the CS Fulltone Mosfet 10th Anniversary? I mean it's just so pretty.

AD15 + Fender Deluxe Reverb in stereo is a match made in heaven, just ask that girl from Sleater Kinney.

there's a savage rohr 2x10 on fleabay right now. in atlanta. :D

i know how good the DR sounded in stereo with the pro jr and it would only be better this time around.

i have no familiarity with SK at all other than the few PJ bootleg appearances.

re: the fulltone. ODs are like crystal meth. it's a downward spiral.

Fuzzes are even worse. I bet that Rohr is at Midtown Music. If I make it down to Dekalb sometime maybe I'll get to check it out, that same shop is the only place that sells DR Z and Two Rock and etc.

You guys should hear my cab now... my 2x12"...

The open-backed top has an Eminence Gov'nor (Vintage 30 copy) and the sealed bottom has an Eminence Swamp Thang (Peavey Sheffield copy), and I can wire both or select one or the other. The bottom speaker is a tad muddy on it's own, and the top is usable by itself, albeit a tad bright. But the two together, with the Mig 50 pushing it, is just perfect. Lotsa balls but plenty of clarity. It's a powerful cab. I'd put it up against just about any 4x12 cabinet...

Good luck on the Orange. I keep thinking I might like a Brit amp some day... but right now, my Mig gets Marshall-y enough and I still kinda prefer the 6(X)6 tube-type.
...and if you don't like it, you can suck on an egg.

Your indy rig is now complete, DRRI + AD15 wow is that going to sound good. Especially considering the same speaker in each. Hopefully you can split them for stereo sound, to bad the Uniphase isn't stereo at the moment.

still have the DL4 so yup!!!!

    VP Jr (TU-2)
    tweakfuzz
    uniphase
    phaser
    CE-2
    dynacomp
    rust booster
    diamond drive
    DL4

everything else is gone. sold a few pedals and my extra strat neck is ending on saturday.

i'm a hoarder but i think think this is a nice little guitar/amp/pedal collection.
  • Pacomc79Pacomc79 Posts: 9,404
oh wow that's going to be awesome. The DL4 is a fantastic thing I just can't appreciate it fully yet. Your Phasing and ping pong/stereo/multi head delays and chorusing are going to sound fantastic. I see BJF pedals in your future. Ha ha ha....

ha ha. watch out for Michael Myers and the propensity to love things that color orange from now on.

any bets that my baby, when old enough to know what the hell is going on, will be drawn to a giant orange cube?

I would say this pretty much spells doom for among other things, the ability to coordinate colors. Love this early for that color Orange....ouch babe.
