some of this is repetitive.

mike:
the good ole les paul
the good ole strat
a white strat with the scoop headstock late 60s/early 70s?
an orange gretsch-esque thing. not a gretsch. a "D" on the headstock. i have no idea.
the 52-esque butterscotch tele

stone:
the red tele with the bigsby
a 52-esque butterscotch tele
the national resophonic electric thing.
taylor 710
black strat w/ rosewood and fishman bridge. looked new. also a candy green one but not played.
the good ole goldtop

ed:
the black sparkle/hockey tape tele with crop circle-ish graphics. white pickguard. black covered p90 in neck. forearm cut like a strat.
black, 70s? tele with maple neck. chrome covered p90 in neck. black pickguard. forearm cut like strat. refinished after forearm cut. "ness cranes" sticker.
black/white rickenbacker 330 6string
gibson J-200 with the mag pickup. not played but on stage

jeff:
the orange wellstone jazz
the white "A" precision
the big ampeg(?)
the electric double bass

The white strat is the "You Are" Strat Correct?
My Girlfriend said to me..."How many guitars do you need?" and I replied...."How many pairs of shoes do you need?" She got really quiet.

"an orange gretsch-esque thing. not a gretsch. a "D" on the headstock. i have no idea."
shot in the dark, maybe a danelectro or diarmond (sp)?
i`ll shut up now cause my cats are calling :P
I'm not saying stupidity should be a capital offence, but what say we take the safety labels off everything and let nature run it's course?

paco: not sure, didn't play "you are" that night.
kig: not a dano, *possibly* some sort of dearmond. i've never seen one like it though.
  • Do you remember what guitars were played for what songs?

I'm guessing Stone's red tele was the one he used during the Yield tour.

I thought Mike destroyed the YOU ARE guitar at the Mexico 3 show during Rearviewmirror.

ah, it's probably a late 60's early 70's or RI white strat ala hendrix then.

Stones tele is probably the one with the bigsby right? That's from the No Code era.

  • Did Stone play the Fiesta Red strat or the Trussart Tele?

no. it totally sucked balls. especially because i was in the 2nd row. it was terrible.

yes, it was great. pretty much as i imagined it would be.

then i found a copy of the replacements "tim" the next day. bonus.
  • I thought I saw a picture of mike playing that silver sparkle (gretsch?) guitar.
When this just feels like spinning plates.

not in calgary. it was an earlier show where he played the gretsch.
  • The orange gretsch is the one Mike use's on dissident, and a song or two with the slide ain't it?

    Probably someone's custom design.

I don't think mike would play a Daisy Rock.

He looks oddly similar to Brian Setzer in that pic.

  • how was the boys' tone? particularly ed's?
me you wouldn't recall, cause i'm not my former.

ed's is a little thin honestly. i don't know how much of that is the mix of the bootleg though.

however, this leaves more room for stone and mike in the mix, both of whom sound fantastic.

    just remembered:

mike: old, black, two pickup les paul custom with pickguard removed.

jeff: one of his fretlesses. don't know the manufacturer. used on "alone" i think.
