i need better lighting to properly photograph these things but whatever. i love this bass.

it has roundwounds right now, which i haven't played for a long time. i don't think i like them much and will get flatwounds going again soon.

but the feel and control is brilliant. for as little as i can fully grasp bass.

  • American Deluxe's are cool. I have a '62 reissue Jazz, that I too placed Flat Wound on. Sounds descent. Also have a Peavey Axcelerator Plus, which even though its a Peavey and everybody puts it down, it still plays the best and sounds like a million bucks.

Up next for me is a Fender Jaguar Bass (I'll be getting that as soon as the local store gets them in stock, March sometime), then I'm going to go after a used American Standard P-bass, hopefullly just before they came out with the S-1 switching. Resale ain't that high on them and usually you can find one thats looks untouched.

It's very classy. I like the gold annodized pickguard.

    bass, synth wah. fun.

it's actually just vinyl, not anodized. but it is nice. i don't like the strats done with this finish/guard but it works on the bass for whatever reason.

I agree. It's the cut of the guard. It just looks good on a bass.
