No, this isn't a post about how I'm quitting the fan club. I just have some questions regarding the process here and how it relates to fan club tickets. I attempted to get verified seats for Vegas and by the time I got in at 10:01 there were only upper bowl. I've seen today Premium Seats being released throughout the day. I found two in a lower bowl section 23 rows up that were retailing at $729. If you look at Ticketmaster's write-up on these, they are releasing these and putting them at "market" prices. Seems a little bit backwards to release lower bowl seats and charge a premium price, just because you can. I long for the days when you submitted a request and got good seats at face value. Seems like now, fan club members don't get access to good seats unless they later want to pay more. Unfortunate and somewhat surprising that this is the route the band is going to release good seats without giving access to the fan club for said seats. I've seen the band 20+ times, just don't see myself paying that price to go. I loved the concept that they rewarded long-term fan club members. Hoping they work out something to return to this down the road.
