ok,
tried the grail. as much as i liked it on the pro jr. it is noisy as hell this time around. i think this particular unit has an issue that the other one didn't but i'm not going to try 5 to find a good one. shouldn't have to. and thus the holier and holiest grails are out too.
tried the boss RV-5. wow that's bad.
no verbzilla to be found... anywhere.
they had no digiverb.
the van amps reverbamate would be great but i'm dealing with a single channel, single input amp so no go.
and they had no fender reverb unit either.
so no verb for me.

Perhaps a rack verb?
hell, buckley used a quadraverb.
i used to have a midiverb way back when for reverb on my 4-track.
i really would like to have a stereo unit so i could run both amps through it. thus the verbzilla and my trying of the RV-5.
the verbzilla is on sale at musiciansfriend and on order at my shop.
yep, but it ain't there just yet.
isn't the Alesis midiverb stereo?
would an outboard reverb tank give me a sound anywhere approaching that washed out guitar found all up and down Ten ?
particularly the one listed in this thread:

i know,
i know.
you hate me for my expensive tastes.
it just so seems to fit my rig.
but i'm just wondering if i'm gonna be dissapointed when i find out it's really this wierd surf and space box contraption ...
on top of a driven plexi sound ... what will i be achieving?
i'm just looking for some extra presence in my sound ... some "staying power" ... and i need more than just simple sustain or compression ...
delay doesn't really do it for me ... and if i was going for reverb, i don't think i'd want a pedal ...
what can you say about outboard reverb tanks?
i know Stone has been known to use them on recent tours.
right?
If I opened it now would you not understand?
yes, the midiverb is stereo in/out.
i think i'm going to take the grail back and see what they have for alesis units. a nanoverb might even work out.
