I am an educator in an urban/suburban school district in the northeast US. Began growing my clean cut hair in March 2020 when schools shut down due to Covid. Told my students I wouldn’t cut my hair until they returned to full time in-person instruction. Well, this pledge turned into18 months and a ponytail when we were finally all together again. It was then I decided I should do some good with the hair. This spring I partnered with our parent/teacher organization to begin a fundraiser tied to a race style event for our students. As a runner, cyclist, and surfer, I was stoked it was connected to an event that got everyone moving too! We set a goal of $9k. If we met the goal, students across the school would have the opportunity to publicly cut my hair. More than thrilled to report we’re almost to $13k with time remaining! That money will come right back to our students and I couldn’t be more happy for them. The hair goes at the hands of our students the first week of April.  ✂️✂️✂️

4.Childhood friend posted on adbook about getting back into vinyl. In doing so he shared a pic of the crosley 5-1 table he was using.....

could not in good conscience allow that to stand. it took me a bit, but through adbook market place and ebay, I put together a system for him. Vintage Onkyo TT, Onkyo A/V Receiver, pair of Onkyo speakers out of a surround sound system.  He's now regularly rocking out. He was quite taken aback by the gift.

next for him is a Dave Brubeck Quartet lp. His father passed not long ago and he commented on one of my now spinnng posts on adbook how much his dad like them. Sooo..... kinda have to give that to him now to keep an additional channel to his pops open....

Do something nice for someone and post here what it is.  Its been a hopeless world for too long.  Do something nice.  Donate.  Volunteer.  Be more patient.  I don't care what.  No judgment, and it won't matter if you do a little or a lot.  Be sincere. - I wouldn't say this was for someone per se but rather something. I saw this beauty below in a parking lot on the ground this weekend and I picked it up and got it to fly away so it wouldn't be crushed. It was just soaking up the warmth of the desert sun on the asphalt of a parking lot. It's the little things that matter and nature is awesome! People forget the little things - especially now. ~ Also, I got 2 copies of the Rearview mirror reissue and since they are the same at walmart and through ten club, I will give away one set to someone if I win this.

I love seeing all the shows people have been at in their signature and comparing notes.  Wrigley, LA, PJ20...great stuff!

I just wish Baltimore panned out. Idk if I can make any shows this year now due to gas prices and the fact that I got shut out with tix so far and have to work when they go on sale this week. Hopefully I can snag some somewhere. I'd hate to not be able to see at least one show this tour.
