very cool! I actually just purchased my first kit from BYOC...I got the confidence booster (free w/first purchase) and the octofuzz. And my thought was to send you a PM for some graphic tips....how do you get the graphics on there? clear labels?
I want to see your personal collection of all your own pedals you've made with graphics if thats possible
sometimes you can't see facebook stuff from outside but this you should be able to access. let me know.
that's everything i've built to this point.
i do my graphics in openoffice draw and print them on plain paper (i do a draft print first to make sure everything lines up properly). then i mask off the sides and spray glue the graphic to the box. then i use automotive clear coat (6 or 7 coats. usually just the top) and remove the masking.
photo paper would work better but my printer can't handle it.
on the boxes BYOC sells, i sand the sides to make it look brushed.
i can send you templates if you like but they're for this openoffice program.
BYOC is great. it's like a gateway drug. i want to order the chorus and phaser from them but i'm currently preoccupied with these amp-sim pedals. plus i'm waiting for companion fuzz and marshall bluesbreaker kits from generalguitargadgets.com. BYOC doesn't sell direct to canada and their canadian dealer is fine but a little more difficult purchase-wise and his prices are higher (i.e. $10 more for the octafuzz) so i haven't bought any more for a while. i will wait until the next 4 for the price of 3 sale.
Yea, I'm really excited to try this myself...not sure if I can, but worth a shot...and i KNOW if i can do it, i'm getting some of those amp sim pedals too....thanks for those links I will definately grab that program and possibly ask you for some templates in the coming week or two

now off to...generalguitargadgets.com
it's a lot of fun. just take your time and check every component twice before you solder it.
