Eddie Vedder stealing from swedish artist Peter LeMarc?

The very start of the songs. Very similiar or is my tonedeafness playing games with me?:

Peters B-side "Rik i regnet" from 1992:

Some similarity. But you're going to find that in a lot of songs.

You assume Ed’s heard this obscure b-side recorded in 1992 by some Swedish artist.

Maybe it's ethereal and it just came to him?

The Peter LeMArc song feels like a slowed down version of the Rolling Stones Rock and a Hard Place to me. It is hard to come up with something completely new and original with only so many chords available. I don't think anybody stole from anyone here.
words seem so out of place.

Ofc. Occam's razor in play. You don't have any "Great Swedish music for a cozy Sunday" playlists?
