I think their obscure words are words that most people say "what the fuck does that mean?" when they read/hear it. Yesterday's word may not be part of the every day lexicon, but I think most people would know that word.

I use RENTS. E is the most common vowel and R, S, and T are the 3 most common consonants. N is a fairly common consonant as well. If RENTS returns all gray or only 1 gold, I have 2 other words that I use to eliminate the remaining letters.

I was just telling my daughters about the WoF approach, and how the rules changed over time. People used to choose their own first 5 letters. but since everyone always chose the same, those became the default for everyone.Β
