    were the pardons pre-emptive or do they have to actually go to jail for a few days before they get it?

    I recently caught up with an old college friend that I hadn't seen in forever, not since any of this went down.

    We used to be super tight. We bonded over the band, and she was the first girl I ever really, truly loved.

    She always marched to the beat of her own drum in terms of politics, medicine, etc., and she spiraled, so to speak, after she had her son. His formative years were tough, lots of learning and behavioral issues. She'd tell me about taking him to healers, spending thousands of dollars on machines that looked like they were built after a quick trip to Home Depot. I tried to cut her some slack, because when it comes to parents and kids, I know that I'd certainly go to whatever lengths I could to help my children if they were struggling.

    Thankfully, her son is in high school and currently thriving, a healthy and happy teenager.

    Her and I had breakfast, and she asked me for my thoughts about the current state of the world.

    I brought up POTUS, and January 6th, and a few other things.

    She started with "I wasn't going to make it political, but since you brought it up"...

    And she proceeded to tell me that she believes January 6th was completely staged, with actors, put on by the cabal/deep state that's controlling the world.

    All I could do was sigh and try to change the subject.
