WOW...that song has really grown on me and is currently wearing out my ipod...what a great song

    Its absolutely astounding how he manages to get into the mindset of someone escaping from society and the views a person would have on our world from the outside.
    Just listening to it makes me consider everything about my friends, my circles, the way i feel like there are certain things im expected to do and accomplish.

    The only thing about the song Society I don't like is the fact that it is one of two songs on the CD that Eddie didn't write all on his own. The other is Hard Sun. guarenteed is my favorite. I predict it will get played during the first encore set this tour. The movie really helps you get into the songs and the meanings of them.

    Agreed. I was ticked to find out Eddie didn't write it. Still love it, and the movie. Though, the more I watch that movie the more I hate my job :)

    Absolutely worship this song. Major repeat mode for sure!! I cant ever listen to it just once.

    I was shocked as well to find out that it wasnt written by Ed. It very well could have been. It just suits him perfectly.:o And that intro? Good lord. *body quivers* Can you just release an entire humming album next please?! Wheeew! GORGEOUS!

    Amen to your post IMMine2129! Totally captures the escapism. It literally takes you there! Nobody can transport the soul like this man. He exaggerates every single emotion within us. His passion is just unmatched.

    And dont you just LOOOVE the chorus!? What a hook. It always gets lodged in my head. The way he says "crazy indeed" is just THE BEST! :D Awww and I love how his voice shakes throughout the whole thing. There's definitely that undeniable sadness. *sigh* When he sings "have mercy on me" *tears* The way he sounds there always attacks me extra much.

    These words really dig deep. I can't possibly praise them enough. Having Ed sing them just makes everything a million times more intense/relatable/amazing. I tear up with each listen. I didnt think it was possible to FEEL the song any more than I already did...and then..YEP... I saw the film. What a powerful scene! My god. I get chills just thinking about it.

    I cant forget to mention how stunningly beautiful the music is as well. That little solo is heaven sent.

    Ok...I could go on for ages....

    Definitely one of my highest anticipations for the upcoming solo tour! :o
