Staying alive and living through 2021, and discovering the bands Death and Dead Moon.  Oh the irony!
    Happy New Year, kids!

Cool, I'll check out the music of that old school PNW band after the boot of the last Ohana day is over. Great tunes to end the year!

Happy New Year to you, too, bigboybrian!

    Thanks, Tish.

    So is living

Favorite/best parts — not necessarily the same things: Quitting smoking, being put to the test, reconnecting with some beloved family, more…always more.

I would state January 1,2021 and saying goodbye to 2020 but 2021 claimed just as challenging.  Bring on 2022.  Stay safe and prayers for all.

Managing to stay alive, get vaccinated x3, spending my birthday on the beach with my now ex-gf, and spending her birthday on a lake in the Poconos & visiting her grandma's old farm. The end of the year was pretty fucking depressing ngl,  but at least I have those good times to look back on.

I did switch from smoking cannabis to vaping and I notice big difference…so that’s a positive.

Sweet TripleJ. Glad you got that trip in. We definitely have to cut loose when we can!
  • I got engaged in August....so I guess getting Covid on New Years day 2021 was the best part!   ;)

Best part for me was either the trip to Tetons/Yellowstone/Glacier (where I got engaged) NP's or discovering the San Juan Mountains and Telluride/Ouray and heading back to the Rockies.

Moved into our newly built house in March. That's about the only good for me in 2021.

Congrats on your upcoming nuptials, @darwinstheory!
  • Thank you @markymark550 - it would have been a very awkward 6 mile hike in the cold rainy mountain weather back to the car if she said no. 😀

Way to go Mr. Survival of the Fittest! I'm glad you got covid 😉 (feels like a question is forming... 🎶)

Mr. Calvin Klein underwear ad abs - I hope you love your new home, well done! Good luck on the 30lbs weight loss goal this year, too. Remember: Abs are made in the kitchen!
  • Thanks! No questions needed, just a typical silly male response that getting covid was probably better than getting engaged. 😁

The proposal came about 8 months after the covid (and 12 years after the first date 🤓)
