Easy Street's set is not my cup of tea but I was blown away by the sound quality and overall performance. Unplugged is my cup of tea and I would say the exact same. It's a tie. An A+ tie.
98: St. Louis. 2000: Alpine. 2003: Chicago. 2006: Chicago Night 2, Milwaukee Night 1. 2007: Chicago (Lolla). 2009: Chicago 1 & 2. 2011: Alpine 1 & 2. 2013: Chicago & LA Night 1. 2016: Chicago 1 & 2. 2018: Chicago 1 & 2.
Thank you for the reviews. I got a record for Christmas that I plan on exchanging in the next couple days. A local record store had both a few weeks. Be safe everyone.
Unplugged for nostalgia, easy street for the energy. Tough call, both sound great. Porch unplugged is what hooked me into pj. That version is so damn good!
First listen of Ten back in grade 9 got me very interested. Seeing that unplugged show months later on Canada's Much Music television, and specifically that unplugged version of Porch, got me hooked as well. ..... Then I discovered that Atlanta '94 Porch version in the late 90s and that was another fantastic version! Be safe everyone
Vocals were patched *in*? Why would EV ever need a patch? Good ol MTV… reminds me of the Singles party… well maybe that one needed a patch in. 😆
For the Ten Deluxe Set Unplugged DVD from 2011 they replaced "Oh Beth" in Oceans with other Eddie sounds instead. Not an MTV thing. But a Pearl Jam thing.
Maybe this is not still the fact for the vinyl version @NewJPage ? My record player is OOS untill I get some new speakers... so haven't listened to it...
ARE YOU SAYING THERE IS A CHANCE OF A 4K RELEASE OF THE THEATRICAL CUTS OF STAR WARS?!

Both are fantastic sounding records. For me it’s a mood thing. MTV emotional iconic unplugged that helped most of us fall in love with the band. Or the charged up, punk/hard rock, we don’t give a fuck playing an indie record store PJ. Love them both!
Nice conversation, thank you everyone. I went with Easy Street. I'll stick with my cd version of Unplugged from the Ten Deluxe set. Be safe and healthy everyone.
Agreed. It’s a smooth edit too. If that is what the artist wants us to have, then there must be good reason it was edited.
Yeah, that’s a whole other story dude. I’m talking about PJ here.
Dude.

Not a fan of changing live recordings after the fact. And especially not 20 years after the fact. Just like badly aged CGI creatures have no place in a 70's motion picture.

Easy Street should have been the whole show when re-released on vinyl.
In the end, I prefer Easy Street.
Patching in revisionist vocals is a no-no.
