Bruce Springsteen

Been listening to a lot of Bruce lately on SiriusXM.

What an amazing body of work he has!

Amazing that he got $500M for it!

It's been interesting how older artists are selling the rights to their music for giant sums of cash during the pandemic.  I guess on the logic you may as well cash in while your alive, rather then die with holding the valuable asset.

Some of it has to do with estate planning.  Depending on the circumstances, it can save millions of dollars in income/gift/estate taxes.

Seems most do it to not have it hang like an albatross around their relatives necks.

If you’re a big Springsteen fan Barnes and Noble has  a few signed copies of his new book.  Signed by him and Obama.  It’s not cheap but that’s a hell of a collectible.

I think its $450 in Barnes and Noble.  They’re usually locked up or behind the cash register.
