I have often contemplated all the possibe songs that the world has been "gypped" of due to John Lennon's untimely death.
Now that I have "discovered" Pearl Jam (and I'm still wading in, probably at just above knee-level) I don't feel gypped anymore!

Hey, welcome! Another huge John Lennon, George Harrison, Beatles fan here. I've always thought about the years of music that was stolen by John's murderer. More recently, I've thinking about how great to would be to have John around as another eloquent voice for peace.
Lots of great things in the Pearl Jam treasure chest for you to discover.
If you haven't already, check out YouTube for Pearl Jam doing covers of
"Gimme Me Some Truth"

"I've Got a Feeling"

and of course, You've Got to Hide Your Love Away

Late at night I hear the trees, they're singing with the dead...overhead...”
I argued "NO IT'S
ING NOT! THAT'S A VEDDER SONG IF I EVER HEARD ONE". HA!
While I certainly have always loved Lennon songs, it's him that's A BIG beatles fan. His second declaration after "that's a cover" was "I think Mott the Hoople did it" HAAAAA~!
But of course! It's SUCH a Lennon song.
I can't wait to view "I've got a feeling" and "hide your love". Those are good. My favorite Beatles song is "I dig a pony" and those other songs from that album, across the universe etc.
I love when bands do covers. It's always such a treat for the audience. The Greatful Dead did alot of covers during their shows.
I can't believe the awesome songs that Pearl Jam does. I never knew!!!I mean I always liked their hits and all but now that I've discovered their albums (and like I said, I'm going slow) everytime I listen to them, they just get better and better. Or should I say Vedder and Vedder!
