Any Terry Reid fans here?

Couldn't find a previous thread, so here goes...
Anybody here into Terry Reid?  I find his albums to be a bit of a mixed bag.  There is great stuff on all of them and though also some duds, the songs that shine, shine brightly.  Apt metaphor for this great number:

“The fear of death follows from the fear of life. A man [or woman] who lives fully is prepared to die at any time.”
Variously credited to Mark Twain or Edward Abbey.

I have his second eponymous album on vinyl. A gift from my art teacher in HS.  It is an amazing album. Outside of that one I wasn't really too impressed with his music.  I heard he turned down being the front man of Led Zepplin. That has gotta sting.

What cool gift!  Yeah, that's a great album.  I didn't know he had been turned down by Led Zeppelin.  Ouch!
I also like his third album, River.  Good stuff!

Bummer!  That would have made a fine band! (Not that Zep were bad, lol).
