POLL - The WEAKEST LINK of AMERICAN BANDS - (EAST) ROUND 4

MedozKMedozK Posts: 9,209
Ok, with the new 'WEAKEST LINK' I will be staying with music and bands. However this time we will debate the greatest American Band.

Now since there are so many that limiting it to 10 would only cause chaos and confusion. I have decided to spread this 'Weakest Link' out into 4 different Polls. These polls will be identified tournament style as East, South, West, and North. I have tried to keep some cohesion with the band and geographic poll they are placed in, but couldn't do it for all. These polls WILL be occurring at the same time, so you will need to place votes in all 4 polls for each round. I did this so it wouldn't take so long to complete.

Each of the 4 polls will be narrowed down to the final 2, then I will take the 2 from each poll and make a Championship poll with 8 bands.

Alright, so here with the FINAL FOUR. Lets determine the GREATEST AMERICAN BAND. EAST REGION

You are going to pick the band that you think is the "Weakest Link" after 2 days I remove the two (2) bands with the most votes. The final two will move on to the Championship Poll.

The Ramones
Kiss - Eliminated Round 1
Aerosmith - Eliminated Round 3
Bon Jovi - Eliminated Round 1
Talking Heads
Steely Dan - Eliminated Round 2
Journey - Eliminated Round 2
Parliament/Funkadelic - Eliminated Round 3
The Velvet Underground
The Stooges

I will have to think long and hard on this one!

I kind of want to vote for the Stooges but I saw this guy today who looked like Iggy and I have a feeling if I vote Stooges he's going to track me down and kick my ass so, ah, I'm still thinking about it some more.

 This is a difficult choice for me too, Brian. Going to need a little more time.

Steely Dan is far superior to any band on this whole list.  WTF guys?

I made that bold step and voted.  Tough call!  Sorry, Iggy.

Perhaps but it is going to be close. More PJ faithful are Ramones fans because of EVs admiration for the band than would orherwise be Ramones fans imo.
I’ve never been a fan, although I rock out to PJs live cover of I Believe in Miracles, which is awesome and blows away the Ramones version.

I instantly regretted voting for The Stooges. Most likely would be true for whichever band I voted for/against. Tough call, indeed. Gonna spin some Stooges today.

We like you guy, but if you keep up that kind of talk we're going to have to schedule an intervention.
