sounds to me like it's a about our Electoral Process, being an activist and giving up, and not being Represented by our Elected Officials

that's just my opinion, all songs are open for various interpretation

Activism was my first thought,
but the more I listen to it,
I took it to a different definition.

I really agree with you there.. i at least think that its about activism , trying to change things.. something along those lines
