Very well written piece here about how Vitalogy developed within the Vs. tour and was a one of a kind treat for boot collectors and show goers a full year before the album’s release.

    Thst was great. My bootleg collection was a hunt down of new songs that whole year, the end of my senior year of high school and freshman year of college. I would pop in record stores all the time on a search. Kids today in the streaming era really missed out. That really took me back.

    Love this, thanks for linking! I find the evolution of new songs in those early days fascinating. 

    I love how the band just debuted the song live whenever they were ready. Which is great for us as we have a live version of all the tracks with Dave even though he wasn’t on the official album tour.

    What are the key bootlegs noted here?

    I’ve certainly spinned the first 3 a ton. I don’t think I’ve listened to the bridge school.
