I love the version of immortality on "Imagine in Cornice". Even though it's only eddie playing guitar, and it's cut short. I love how it sounds.

Not hearing Corduroy at P.J. concert is like going to massage parlor and not getting a "happy ending".
I'll be at Mansfield on the 28th and I'm just praying that they play Immortality.

    Immortality is just awesome.
I also like the Immagine in Cornice Version very much and it's really sad that it's so short.

Somebody was bitching about how the band did not have a new album, so this tour is supposed to be one for those who wants to hear Corduroy for the gazillionth time. Well, I posted saying that yes, I am one of those people. I should have added Immortality to that as well. Because I can hear Immortality for gazillion times and it still wouldn't be enough.

I could listen to corduroy a trillion fucken times....its one of those songs that I love hearing and don't care how much they play the bitch

it sure gets the blood flowing while even flow on the other hand I could do without

i agree, my all time favorite. another great version is off of Live a Beneroyal Hall.

i remember buying Benaroya a few days after it came out, and i listened to this as i lay in the sun in my garden. I was stunned. I loved Immortality anyway, and this version had me tingling....mike's guitar, the crisp and frantic drums, the build of the outro......and the strength of eds voice on it...all so clear. god i love that album.

i had similar reactions to Fatal, NAIS, Dead Man, Cant Keep,

    god i love that album

Totally agree. It was my gateway song, the song that got me to borrow Vitalogy from a friend. Then Ten, then Binaural, then........

Plus, it actually doesn't get old. It's just one of those songs for some reason. Evenflow is one that they play over and over again and does get old.
I surfaced and all of my being was enlightened.

Love the intro to Immortality in Immagine in Cornice...

It sounds great and it's just amazing when Ed really starts the song and switches the pickup.

    Great :)

Quite simply my favorite song by my favorite band. Although "Ten" and "Vs." are amazing albums, this song is what put "Vitalogy" over the top for me. The perfect Pearl Jam album.

  • Does anyone out there agree with me when I say that Eddie's lyrics are up there with Bob Dylan's. Every song he writes can be interpreted in so many different ways that it just blows my mind.
