always been one of my favorite bands...really dig their stuff. I've been listening to them a lot lately and I just wanted to drop a line and show some respect for one of the greatest rock bands of all time.
who's next is a classic album and recommended to any unfamiliar with the band .
anyone agree?

I have known The Who way before I've heard about Pearl Jam..and I wonder if it wasn't for The Who if I would have liked Pearl Jam the same way that I do..I'm sure I would..but there was some path I step into with The Who.
I've got my father to thank. He is a fan of them (loved them since he was young) and a musician himself..and so I've been exposed to them as a child..and also various other great music..

Go to Drowned. Rock the Hell OUT!
One of the greatest bands ever, I saw them a year ago in thier aged state without Entwistle (who is a HUGE part of thier sound) and Kieth Moon and they were still phenominal.
One of the greatest bands of all time...

sorry Pearl Jam fans, but that's the way I feel and ain't no one gonna change my mind
I just LOVE MY WHO!!!!
what album/cd brings out the most emotions out of you wether it be happy or sad the one that does it to me is ...
QUADROPHENIA i feel every emotion when i listen to this album ,it brings tears ,smiles and memories of my teenage yrs with really close friends that are no longer part of my life ......now tell me yours ....i freaking love townsend he is a master ...
you know what, I can literally sit down and listen to any of them and I still get the same feeling I did all those years ago. It makes me cry sometimes how much I love this band. I literally sit there and go, HOW CAN THEY CONTINUE TO MAKE ME FEEL THIS WAY. But they do.
Seriously though, I will sometimes put in Who Are You or any one of them, and 5 hours later I'm still listening to the Who's catalog. I just can't get enough sometimes.
And don't even get me started on Townshend's solo stuff.
happy holidays to you and yours Jose.
agreed one day will listen to a who cd while tailgating at a pj show no doubt ...you also have agreat holiday season ...:D
What a great song!!! What a great band!!
I am fortunate, i have been to a Who show... it was magic. My first Pearl Jam show and The Who came in a period of two weeks..
You don't have to run and hide away
It's okay, it's okay
I love you anyway
2007: Pearl Jam concert in Düsseldorf (21. June)
2007: Chris Cornell concert in Kristiansand (2. July)
2007: The Who concert in Kristiansand (4. July)
yeah, i saw them in November of 2006 in Salt Lake City. Long story short, it was the best show, sound and performancewise that i'd seen since truckin' it to Denver, CO to see Pearl Jam and Tom Petty.
I still have a hard time getting over the fact that John and Keith aren't around. All four of them made the who who they were and are, but John and Keith I think were taken for granted and never truly appreciated. John's bass lines are some of the best and Keith Moon is just a legendary drummer.
Quadrophenia and Who's Next are worthy of everyones money.

Getting In Tune is one of the most bad ass and well thought out songs ever...lyrically, musically and just how classy of a rock song it is.

the small faces are an amazing band too from the same era...influenced the clash and many others
well then I've been extremely fortunate, I've seen the Who 16 times and PJ close to 30 times.
Damn, I AM LUCKY
you got me beat with the WHO shows by 6 but i'm right there on the PJ SHOWS ....:D
I've seen Pete solo twice too. Damn, what great memories.
you know what i've missed pete everytime he came around i couldn't make the shows i do hope he hits the road for solo shows that would be nice ....
Well I'm 19 and live in Norway.

Well then you should really consider yourself lucky
And I love that someone as young as you is getting into the Who
Keeping delving, you won’t be disappointed
Exactly...
you and me both. When I heard they were putting a new album (Endless Wire) I was THRILLED. And I still listen to it on a regular basis a year and a half later
Every time I see them, I say, this is it, this is the last time I'll ever see the Who, and then . . . they come back.
they can do that till the day they leave this earth and I will be there, no matter what the cost, they are worth every penny they ask for
