What a set - 3 Gigaton premiers! And the band in v good spirits even when they’re still shaking off the rust. Shout out to the gal next to me who was singing along perfectly to all the new stuff even through her N95 mask.I know there were all kinds of rumors about a 3 hour gig, but to be honest after a whole day in the sun I thought what they did was just about perfect, both in length and in song choice.
I hope the girl who collapsed during RVM is ok. The big ending to the last song of the main set is, it turns out, a lousy time to try to get someone’s attention to send help.I couldn’t pick a best moment, but my eyes welled up during the beginning of I Am Mine, a whole lot of the last couple of years got exhaled during that song.
See you tomorrow.0 -

I was hoping for a longer show, but that setlist, not a lot to complain about. Sweet Lew was goofy. I didn't realize I've not seen Garden live until I got back. I'll take I Am Mine any day and the Gigaton stuff has been great. I will be OK if it's a while until I see Buckle Up again, but great show!0

Thanks for the setlist thread as always D. Though I'd add People Have The Power as a standalone...even though it came RIGHT after Betterman, it was pretty close to the full version I believe, and didn't have a Betterman bookend (and PJ counted it sepeartley on their site). Either way, great stuff (besides the strange end time, compared to Sunday).208XXX (September 2000) - 21 Pearl Jam shows, 2 Eddie Vedder shows, 1 Temple Of The Dog show
1998 - East Lansing & Auburn Hills; 2000 - Tampa & Noblesville; 2003 - Lexington & Noblesville;
2006 - Cincinnati; 2007 - Chicago (Lollapalooza); 2008 - Ed in Milwaukee; 2009 - Chicago;
2010 - Noblesville; 2013 - San Diego & Los Angeles I & II; 2016 -TOTD in Los Angeles;
2017 - Ed in Dana Point (Ohana); 2021 - Dana Point (Ohana) I, II & III; 2022 - San Diego & Inglewood I & II;
2025 - Hollywood I & II0 -
They did play a good chunk of it, but People Have The Power has a lot of words, they did a solid chorus/bridge from it. I liked the slight look of panic on Ed’s face when he got to the “power to dream” bit and discovered it was quite high for him.Spartanacus said:Though I'd add People Have The Power as a standalone...even though it came RIGHT after Betterman, it was pretty close to the full version I believe, and didn't have a Betterman bookend (and PJ counted it sepeartley on their site).
