    That was fucking awesome.
  • I believe the third song was Molly’s Chambers (Kings of Leon)?

    This is true
  • Chad exploded into the drum section on I’m One like the beast that he is and took everyone by surprise. You can see Ed smirking about it  and Chad at the end gives a little ‘what me, what-did-I-do?’ Look.  Fun bombastic version of an incredible Who song
  • I really hope Ed has them come out again tomorrow, this was super exciting to see live (on the rail). a unique set that ill remember forever.

also MMJ is simply the best. may not have been the crazy long set like they played the night before in SB but wow, they are amazing.

Actually before the ‘I got a Gibson’ verse Ed looks back and smiles and Chad kind of gets off the stool a bit and jokingly gives a defiant scream like saying “ yay I just did that, keep up’. It was fun
  • Words cannot describe the feeling I got after all this time since my last(Fenway 2018)!! And this was only night 1........ :)

  • Incredible show. I was shocked at the ride these guys took on Porch.  This band is *really tight* Tomorrow should be great.

After hearing the soundcheck, it was great to see them play Drive, Tender Mercies, My Father’s Daughter up close.

First time at Ohana and the “family” concept really shows in the makeup of this performance tonight. From the band members new and old collaborators, to Olivia’s performance (and the huge crowd support), to the shoutout to KOL and playing Long Road… I can only imagine what EV does next tomorrow - hopefully more people will get a chance to hear some of this set. Already feel validated in making the trip, and we got one more EV and 3 Pearl Jam shows.

Appreciated Ed’s set list audibles and trying to make the most of limited time after the rain delay. Sometimes watching performers power through chaos makes everything that much more special.
  • This sounds incredible.

was this a real private show the night before or a soundcheck?

Totally blown away. I got insta-stoked when I saw Chad S come out. Long Road was a highlight for me, drove me to tears. Porch was amazing.

Sea, much love, but The Earthings another band, not the backing band here, correct? Eds new album is Earthling.

Who was the bassist last night? I could remember, and didn't particularly recognize him. Dude was solid in there though!
It's amazing what you hear when you take time to listen.

Wow. Just wow. End of Alt Corduroy seeing boys completely go ballistic was insane. Josh K. and Watt total shred-fest. Whole set super unique, unstructured and raw. Long Road always great but last night was transcendent for me. Purple Rain was phenomenal too. Also first Ohana for me and coming back every year. Hands down best festival I’ve been to. 4 more nights of this!!  I’m blessed and so grateful!!

I can't  be the only one who noticed all the Nike Dunks on the stage.

Andrew Watt: Dunk Highs Championship Navy I think
    Josh K.: Dunk Lows Michigan
Olivia: Air Jordan 1 Highs Lucky Green I believe

And oh yeah great show with for me a fantastic Long Road. Just wish we could've gotten a full Purple Rain.

  • Klinghoffer and Palladino in the same band is fantastic.

I haven't spent a ton of time reading others' thoughts on this but I really kind of love the idea of Vedder's solo stuff being akin to Petty's w/o the Heartbreakers (though Tom always had Mike and Benmont on hand, etc). I know that sometimes when a frontperson goes solo a lot of folks see it as a threat to the band but I think 30+ years on, they're way past that stage as a band and we should be as fans too. Very jealous of those who get to see Vedder's solo project band one night and Pearl Jam the next.
