Buying on eBay / Discogs, when to request a return

I recently bought an original US Ten vinyl on eBay that was graded at NM- (whatever that means). I played it and there are pops / clicks on several tracks. There are also several superficial scratches from the original sleeve that are visible when held up to light, and maybe one or two scratches that are causing the noise. My question is am I out of line for requesting a refund? I know it's almost 30 years old but personally, it doesn't seem to be graded correctly.

If you dont like it return it. No reason to have something you don't like. It will give off bad vibes every time you listen to it. The opposite effect music is supposed to give us!
If they won't take it back, sell it and fully disclose the condition.
Im not sure of how returns work on ebay/discogs.

eBay is pretty good about refunding you if an item is “not as described”.  It’s pretty much an automatic refund.  The burden is on the seller to properly describe the item including any flaws or condition issues.
