    Fantastic news!

    According to Republic Records, Vedder will release his latest solo single, “Long Way,” tonight (Sept. 7). A song teaser hints at a mellow, country-tinged acoustic rock track, which is typical of Vedder’s solo material.

    Wmmr will not play it.  They are currently doing back to school A to Z where they play every song in their catalog.  It takes up to 10 days to do it and it’s actually pretty cool to hear songs you dont hear all that often

    As of this moment they are still the only outlet reporting this. No hints anywhere else that I can find. 

    Is it possible that PJ is releasing 'Take The Long Way' as a single on the eve of them actually finally being able to play some shows in support of Gigaton? Maybe some confusion with a track from Flag Day? 

    I hope I'm wrong but something doesn't feel right about this.

    Yep. This station claims a lot of stuff and is wrong often with PJ. Hopefully it's true, but I'm taking it with an enormous grain of salt.

    Yeah, fully. hey, I'm always down to hear a new tune but this makes zero sense while releasing Take The Long Way kinda does.

    Also because the song kicks every ass there is. All the asses. Great tune to put out as a "hey, remember that record we just put out while the world was falling apart?" 

    And that's if even ANY part of this report is true.

    There is no way this is a PJ song they are talking about. They also heard a teaser. This has to be true.

    Hoping for something like Rise, Guaranteed or Out of Sand.

    No they are not. They did a joke one time and pj fans didn’t take it kindly. they are also one iof the few, if only, terrestrial radio station to get a one on one interview from Ed along without shout outs from the stage in two different years from Ed. They may be off with this but it isn’t ‘often’

    I see no way these guys say that Republic Records is the ones that told them it was coming out and it being false. It has to be happening and I cant wait to see what it is.
