Present Tense (not sure if Id cry or faint or both)
Present Tense is such an amazing song. Top 3 for me. Hearing it on the MJ documentary gave me chills.
Oh same here. Seems silly but probably bawled my eyes out 4 times or so that week rewatching that ending. They and the Bulls are pretty significant parts of my life. And apparently I cry alot from PJ ha.
Nothing wrong with that at all! Music pulls at my heartstrings too. Release and Present Tense are easily at the top two for that.
First show to debut an album you have to think they are going to play it a ton. A shorter festival set though so maybe not the whole album but man I can not wait to hear these songs live finally.
How do we think River Cross gets used (if/when it gets played)? I could see it as an opener, first 1-2 songs of the first encore (for a full show) or even potentially getting the “Indifference” treatment.
1. Fatal 2. Of the girl 3. Hold on (acoustic) 4. Other side 5. Around the bend
But they could play anything and I’d be happy. Just stoked to see them live again. They could play a 2-hour version of whale song for all I care and I’d be fine with it.
Lost my dad to Covid a few months ago, would love to hear Come Back

Pearl Jam at Asbury Park is gonna be phat. But please: no covers. Yeah, no Pink Floyd. No Beatles. No Who. None of that.
All Pearl Jam. Tastefully done…but definitely all Pearl Jam.
+1 Id ask for no songs from Ten as well, but I know that is not gonna happen
I dunno about that one…Oceans and Release would both make me pretty happy as an opener.
I can take those. Or maybe a Garden. Skip the rest please (I know that will never happen at a festival). AND PLEASE NO COVERS unless its Bruce or Patty.
Yeah - they’re not necessarily going to play every song they sound check (though unfortunately I do think Comf Numb is more likely than not, and I thought that before I saw the soundcheck tweet).
To wit: sound checking both Rising and My City of Ruins means either (1) they’re not playing every sound check song or (2) Bruce is definitely coming out.
