"Former President Obama is hosting a 60th birthday bash for himself on Martha’s Vineyard....held at the Obamas' $12-million home, which sits on 30 oceanfront acres.... 475 confirmed guests —Pearl Jam was set to play...Steven Spielberg also was expected."

    Totally agree! I could see Ed doing this solo. Would be shocked if it’s the full band. Maybe he will come join the masses at Nancy’s for some Dirty Bananas 🤣

    Homies on the right surely don't like this, but that's mostly because its for Barry.

    As someone who worked an indoor wedding this weekend, with about 1% of guest mask wearing, I'm hoping this will be a classy outdoor 500 guests from ALL OVER in an open air tent (plus the 75 or so vendors, caterers, florists, sound, video, and photo crews) type of deal...I think it's going to be more Lollapalooza though.  Ew.

    AND...Cori Bush still sleeping on the steps of the US Capitol.   Millions face eviction.  Priorities.

    I'm booked to be on the vineyard for my daughter's birthday on Saturday,  Perhaps we will bump into the vedders in Edgartown.  May need to change plans.  Getting around the island will be tricky.

    That's an indoor event in the picture. Obama's event is outdoors in one of the most vaccinated parts of the country. Not really the same.

    All of those people coming from somewhere else.  I work events and my guard is up and I'm masking up around people indoors and out until at least November.

    Yeah, mine is up too. I had been comfortable outdoors for awhile but concern is definitely slipping in. Hopefully this is a well-planned and executed event and there are no problems.

    No thread is protected from staying on topic to quickly taking a turn towards Covid talk.  There is a virus/ vaccine thread on AMT that I think covers this pretty well, but I guess the virus spreads as easily amongst the PJ forums as it does amongst humans.
