Looks like we finally have a real update on this:

I haven’t listened to JA in a few years. It’s not just the vax mess, the new super religious songs he was posting were just awful. It’ll be interesting to finally hear this though.

I agree with all this. I felt like I noticed things starting to cool off with others and him recently. Will definitely give it a listen but still feeling a little weird about him. Still has the weird radio show.

I still throw on RNDM every now & again... I love those albums.

I'll give this a listen for sure.

They could have just gone with "singer-singwriter Joseph Arthur"

I never liked JA's falsetto, so I don't like that song. Maybe the rest of the album will be better.
I too have totally stopped consuming anything new that JA has done for a long time for the same reason Goldrush said - he basically became a Christian musician, plus I am so off-put by the fact that he turned into kind of a loon. A decent collab might be something new I can consume though. I am still happy to listen to his old work, when it was good, before he turned into a jackass.

Yeah I struggle with his god fetish. And preaching because it's all so militant. I'm good with opposing views just not so pushy ones

I think the album was recorded in 2021, before JA went off the reservation, so hopefully the lyrics won’t be as bad as his recent stuff.
