Is this song about an std that a dude gave to his girl after he cheated on her?

Such a shame it's so good, but about something so awful
Oh it was the time. Like a clean new taste.
Smiling eyes before me and tears from my face.
Wash my love. Wash my love. Wash my love, yeah.
Sin for sale. Buying just a need. O who planted all the devils seeds?
And what's the truth? And the truth that lies at home.
It's on the inside and I can't get it off. Yeah.
Wash my love. Wash my love. Wash my love, yeah.
What's clean is pure. But hey, I'm white on the outside. Though I stray.
What she don't know today might kill us both tomorrow. Bring it back someway.
Bring it back, back, back... to the clean form. To the pure form.
Wash my love. Wash my love. Wash my love. Wash my love.
Wash my love. Wash my love. Wash my love. Yeah
Wash my ...wash my...wash my love....yeaaaaaaahhhhhhh
Yeah, I could see the STD reference. Wash the yesterday, and potential AIDS/STD away. Is this about Hugh Grant? It was first played in 1991. Ohmygawd! That is so lonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnng ago. Anyway, something along the lines of the Hugh Grant/prostitute story.
The risk I took was calculated, but man, am I bad at math - The Mincing Mockingbird
or x*y = xy, x*a = xa, xa*y=xya - I'm having too much fun with this
The risk I took was calculated, but man, am I bad at math - The Mincing Mockingbird
hahahahahhahaha I just made myself laugh

Down the sewer, down the sewer!
And that is why Pearl Jam lyrics are always good. A few interpretations and they all seem very reasonable. Great song by the way, one of my favs.
Actually, my interpretation is that it was an SUV.
Agreed, adultry seems more like the theme of the story. I see where the arugment for STD's is, but I dont like it is likely that they would write a song about them.
